How to even begin? The more of these intimate workshops I run, and I include the retreat in this, the more I struggle to articulate quite the experience of each event.
As you know, I adore running the big workshops. The energy, the buzz, the party-style atmosphere of thirty creatives in a room is a tough gig to beat.
There’s something quite exceptional, however, about getting a select group of entrepreneurs together for a more intimate workshop. It’s as if what happens becomes bigger than simply the sessions themselves and what we experience is something altogether more powerful. More transformative. More impactful.
‘inspiring, invigorating, challenging and rewarding’ Shazeen Emambux
The Focus and Thrive workshop was just that. An intimate and intensive two days designed to give our participants the tools, confidence and vision to create a business that works on their terms. One that feeds their ambition, plays to their strengths and creates incredible opportunities. I guess it’s the workshop that comes before the work within Brand Brilliance.
It’s about creating a business that really works for you. And that works within your life. It was about empowering our guests to take back the reins within their business and prepare to fulfil their ambitions.
‘Love that it focused on whole life rather than just work/ the business’ Rachael Connection
The wonderful Elizabeth Cairns and I joined forces to run this one. Elizabeth’s role was absolutely fundamental, to get everyone in touch with what their authentic business would look like. She was there to bust blockers, challenge preconceptions and facilitate incredible transformations.
My focus was much more on the communications side of things. Once you know where you want to take your business, how do you enchant your clients? How do you sweep them along? How do you buy yourself enough time to do a great job? And how do you create an incredible experience from start to finish?
An anti-hustle masterclass, if you like.
There was a lot of laughter, a few tears and a lot of transformation along the way. Oh, and some fabulous fashion!
The workshop that you and Elizabeth have created is exceptional.’ Kate Lovejoy
There was plenty of time for delicious food and space to connect and share ideas.
Being an entrepreneur can sometimes be a pretty solitary pursuit, even when you have a team around you. So I love that we facilitated support and connections as much as clarity of vision and a real sense of authentic purpose.
There were mood boards, of course, and also a session for actually mapping out plans for the year so that our guests could leave feeling empowered and in control.
We had a real range of entrepreneurs, from far flung parts of the globe. And the bonds these women made over just two days was so inspirational. I think that’s one of the things that I find so emotional. The friendships students have formed on the Retreat and the Focus and Thrive workshops are connections I know will continue well into the future. That’s a really wonderful thing. To be a part in creating a true sense of community.
‘An absolute must to get clarity and growth for your business’ Dena Kelly
