Hot on the heels of the sellout Brand Brilliance workshop in October of last year, I’m thrilled to announce a new date for the next workshop. Inspired by my forthcoming book, this is the perfect workshop to get you focused, inspired and ready to take your brand up a gear.
From feeling like I couldn’t see the wood for the trees, I now feel like you’ve made me a little path I can trot along
You’ve styled your brand and you love the result but you can’t help thinking you could benefit from a little more focus and clarity.
Perhaps you’re on the cusp of a restyle and need a boost of confidence and inspiration to help you see the project through to it’s best outcome.
How do you build a cohesive, consistent and compelling brand identity whilst retaining what makes your business special? And more to the point, how do you define what makes your business so brilliant in the first place?
The Brand Brilliance workshop is all about defining what makes your business unique and letting that shine through in everything you communicate.
It’s about giving you the confidence, focus and clarity to and make sure that you’re on message, each and every time. It’s about defining your dream clients, owning your niche, identifying your brand values, creating your mission and defining your creative style.
On Day Two we’ll take this focus and explore how it works with your visual aesthetic. How do you make sure that the way you style your photos, filter your instagram images and bring your brand to life reflects the message you want to send out?
We will, of course, also explore how this feeds into your brand identity: so if you’re at the start of a brand styling project this will be a brilliant jumping off point. But equally, it’ll be just as valuable to those of you who feel you have a smart looking website and logo you can be proud of that want to get a tighter handle on your brand and your focus.
You’ll leave the workshop with a Brand Blueprint that’ll document many of the creative decisions you’ve taken as well as plenty of mood boards (of course!) notes and bags of inspiration.
The Brand Brilliance Workshop
Cobham, Surrey, 27 & 28 June 2017
The Brand Brilliance workshop is an intimate, two day event for creative entrepreneurs. It’s designed to help you find your focus, define what makes your brand brilliant and communicate with confidence and clarity.
I’ve planned an intensive but inspirational workshop that’ll help you get to the very heart of what makes your brand special and move forward with purpose and momentum.
Together we’ll explore where your business sits in the market, we’ll identify what makes you unique and who those clients are who are going to move heaven and earth to work with you. It doesn’t matter what business you’re in or how many competitors you have, I want to help you find your own unique position in your field. One that makes your company the only logical choice.
We’ll define your dream clients, create powerful stories and evocative visuals that bring them to life and act as your muses! These muses will help you communicate at a powerful level, refining your creative style and making sure that everything you do, puts your client front and centre.
We’ll take your position, your focus and your expertise and we’ll establish your message, your values and your purpose. We’ll identify your creative style and your visual aesthetic. This is about moving away from knee-jerk marketing and impulsive styling and streamlining everything you do.
This workshop is all about bringing a whole heap of substance and clarity to your brand. It’s about bringing into focus the things that really matter, letting go of those elements that are muddying your message and communicating with clarity and confidence.
In short, it’s about creating a brilliant brand!
You’ll leave the workshop with bags of clarity, focus and inspiration, ready to move forwards and take your brand to the next level. In particular you’ll
- identify the brand values that really matter to your business and your clients whilst finally letting go of those values that are confusing your message
- build a mood board and a story for your dream clients that’ll inspire your marketing and product development
- refine your mission and your message into something that genuinely resonates with your dream clients
- define your creative style and your visual aesthetic into something that will grow with you as time goes on
- explore the seasonal personalities and define which season best supports your business
- identify the tone of voice that’ll best communicate your brand message
- clarify the photographic style that will work for your brand: whether that’s soft and romantic, dark and moody, light and bright or sharp and intense
- review the best styling props, textures and materials that will work in harmony with your brand message rather than compete
- understand how your brand identity can best communicate your message: whether it’s bang on target right now or needs a complete refresh

Investment and how to book
The investment for this intimate, two day workshop is £1075 plus VAT. Places are limited to an absolute maximum of just ten students which will give you plenty of time for one to one feedback from me.
Prefer to pay in instalments?
You can either pay in two instalments, or, when you book before April, three.
This includes all class materials, Maddie’s delicious food and plenty of game-changing content. I know I always say this, but places are limited to just nine spots and this class will sell out (as they always do!).
I’ve hired Maddie Hatton’s gorgeous, light-filled, intimate studio at The Medicine Garden in Cobham, Surrey where we’ll create sheer brand brilliance, collaborate and feast. Please see FAQ’s for travel info.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Please, please, please make sure you can commit to the dates before signing up! We do understand that very occasionally you might need to cancel your place. If you do so before one calendar month of the workshop I’ll refund your place (PayPal fees may apply).
Cancellations within a month of the date of the workshop are non refundable and non transferrable.
You are very welcome send someone in your place if you can’t make the workshop but we’d just ask that you send them all the relevant pre-class information and preparation in good time so that they are well prepared.
I’m on a special diet, can you cater for me?
We do try our best! We always have a good selection of gluten free options and very often you’ll find that there are dairy free options too. If you tell us of any allergies when you book then we always do our very best to accommodate.
There are so many restrictive diets these days that it is tricky for us to please every diet – but take a look at the pictures of past events and you’ll see that the food on offer is delicious, wholesome, unprocessed and very, very good. We hope you enjoy!
Two days of game changing content, lovely course materials and plenty of time for input and advice from me. We’ll also be enjoying Maddie’s delicious elevenses and lunch on day one and brunch and afternoon tea on day two. Oh, and my killer cocktails of course! There’ll also be tea, herbal tea and filter coffee on tap as well as my signature water infusions.
What’s not included?
Travel too and from the venue; any accommodation you might need; a frothy coffee or any fancy schmancy drinks you choose to buy from the Medicine Garden cafe. I’m also considering organising an optional (informal) dinner to the local pub on the Tuesday evening. This meal won’t be included.
What’s the exact location of the workshop?
The workshop will be held at the Blid and Hatton studio at The Medicine Garden in Cobham, Surrey.
This beautiful Victorian Walled Garden is a destination in itself with it’s cafes, art shop, yoga studio and florist. We’ll be working from Maddie’s beautiful studio which is just in the courtyard. If the weather is nice, we’ll be able to venture into the garden for some of the brainstorming and individual sessions (don’t hold your breath – this is England!).
The address of the Medicine Garden is Downside Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 3LU
There is plenty of free parking on site.
I’m on the train, how do I get to The Medicine Garden?
Take the Guildford train from Waterloo/ Vauxhall/ Clapham station to Cobham and Stoke D’Abernon Station. It’s around 30 mins depending on where you get on and the time of day. If you’re feeling fit, it’s a 35 minute walk to The Medicine Garden (see here for the route) or you can grab a cab at the station.
Is there anywhere to stay nearby?
There are a whole host of places depending on whether you’d like opulent luxury (may I suggest art deco The Brooklands Hotel) or would prefer to keep things simple with the Cobham Days Inn! Take a look at Booking.com for the place that’ll suit you best.
